This morning was extremely exciting because we didn’t have to be at our meeting spot until 11:00 AM. This means that we got to sleep in! After we met in the main square, we made our way to the upper part of Zagreb where we visited the Museum of Naïve Art. Our tour guide led us through a few small and interesting rooms.

A few of our singers got to dance in the main square with some Slavic traditional performers!

We learned about the techniques and styles of each artist. This included the technique of painting on glass, which requires the artist to paint in a mirror image of the finished product, and the significance of roosters in many art pieces. The staff of the museum requested that we sing something, and then we couldn't resist the tons of art prints and postcards from the store. Then we enjoyed lunch pack by our host families.

After our lunchtime in a beautiful part with a view of the center of Zagreb, we made our way to the Zvjezdice (“Little Stars”) rehearsal space once again to prepare for our concert with them later that evening. We had an amazing performance.

The finale of our show was Moj Zagreb and Mir, which we sung alongside members of “Little Stars”. They even hosted a reception with tons of meats and cheeses and watermelon after the concert! They are amazingly generous to us and sang beau. We are so incredibly thankful for everyone in “Little Stars” for hosting us and welcoming us to Zagreb.

We had and amazing time here the past week. It is definitely going to be a bittersweet goodbye when it comes time to leave Zagreb on Sunday.
