This morning we ate breakfast with our host families and then said our goodbyes to them at the “Little Stars” rehearsal space. Then we got on the bus and started our journey from Zagreb to the Plitvice Lakes. After a few hours on the bus driving through the countryside we arrived at the National park.

Our view as we walked through the gates into the park

Before we started our hike we ate our lunches, that were packed by our host families, at the picnic tables outside. After lunch we began our hike. We were all amazed by the incredible blue color of the water and the enormous waterfalls and lakes. We saw many ducks and fish and watched the ducks lead them in the clear water.

We were all grateful to be surrounded by such a beautiful environment and take in this experience. We went on a boat ride and explored the lake and looked at the lovely views. After our boat ride, we sang “Bring Me Little Water Silvie” to carry on the a tradition of recording that song at a waterfall that started in Argentina.

After our hike we continued on the road until we arrived at our hotel called the Bellevue Hotel. After getting our room assignments we were given some free time to explore. Some of us had to time to collect ourselves and rest, while others watched the US Women’s National Team in the Women’s World Cup Final! It turns out we won, go USA!

The game was ON!!

After resting, we had dinner at the hotel. Dinner was followed by a quick meeting where we practiced Wairua Tapu with Matthew as Beyoncé was playing in the background of the hotel lobby. Shortly after the meeting, it started hailing as we said goodnight to each other, and got ready for the next day. We had a really good day and we are excited to see more beautiful places on tour!
